Holidays

Whew! What a week we have had. Chris was able to come in on the last flight into seattle on December 20th. In case you have been in a fox hole, the Northwest was hammered with snow the last week and a half, and Chris was very lucky to be able to get in. On Sunday we went to the Seahawks game courtsey of my company, amazing seats! However with a 2000 Honda Civic and 6 inches of snow in Seattle, we left in the middle of the 2nd quarter to make sure we got back up to Everett. Good bye Mr. Farve. We then spent about a day in Everett, and went back down to SeaTac where we left at 1 am (on time!) and spent the next 24 hours in various airports, tarmacs, and runways. Due to mechanical issues we missed our first flight, due to mechanical issues our rescheduled connection was delayed, delayed then canceled, our 3rd rescheduled flight was delayed delayed, moved to a different gate/terminal, overweight then took off eventually around 9:45pm. Our original flight would have been at 9:20 am, so we spent an extra 12 hours in the Memphis airport courtsey of Northwest Airlines. Eventually we got to Oklahoma and were able to spend a wonderful but quick Christmas Eve Day there, then we were back on the plane at 6 am on Christmas Day to head back to seattle.

I met a lot of Chris' family, although not everyone. I would attempt to name everyone in the picture below, but I doubt I would succeed! We are off to a Hockey Game tonight for New Years, pictures to come!

Holidays!

As many of you know, Chris lives in Eagar, AZ right now, and I live in Everett, WA. Last year when I was in Bozeman, we were able to see each other on every major (and some minor!) holidays. This year we got Halloween together, however we wont be having Thanksgivng together, yet he will be coming into town on Dec. 4th for a belated Turkey day! Last year I went to Eagar for Thanksgiving, and Chris came up and spent the whole two weeks of Chrismas/New Years with me in Everett and Bozeman. This year, Chris is still coming up here, however we are making the flight to Oklahoma for a few days around Christmas to be with his family. I am excited to meet his extended family. I have met his Grandparents, and a Great Aunt and Uncle previously and am looking forward to meeting up with them again. We fly out of OK at 6:30 Christmas morning. Maybe Santa will have to take us to the airport! We will have to make the most out of our three days with his family!

I guess this is what making a family is about, blending our families, spending time with both sides and enjoying the time we have with each others families. Most importantly Chris and I get to spend 2 whole weeks with each other!

Happy Thanksgiving Family and Friends
