Holidays

Whew! What a week we have had. Chris was able to come in on the last flight into seattle on December 20th. In case you have been in a fox hole, the Northwest was hammered with snow the last week and a half, and Chris was very lucky to be able to get in. On Sunday we went to the Seahawks game courtsey of my company, amazing seats! However with a 2000 Honda Civic and 6 inches of snow in Seattle, we left in the middle of the 2nd quarter to make sure we got back up to Everett. Good bye Mr. Farve. We then spent about a day in Everett, and went back down to SeaTac where we left at 1 am (on time!) and spent the next 24 hours in various airports, tarmacs, and runways. Due to mechanical issues we missed our first flight, due to mechanical issues our rescheduled connection was delayed, delayed then canceled, our 3rd rescheduled flight was delayed delayed, moved to a different gate/terminal, overweight then took off eventually around 9:45pm. Our original flight would have been at 9:20 am, so we spent an extra 12 hours in the Memphis airport courtsey of Northwest Airlines. Eventually we got to Oklahoma and were able to spend a wonderful but quick Christmas Eve Day there, then we were back on the plane at 6 am on Christmas Day to head back to seattle.

I met a lot of Chris' family, although not everyone. I would attempt to name everyone in the picture below, but I doubt I would succeed! We are off to a Hockey Game tonight for New Years, pictures to come!

boomer sooner!

Chirs was able to come up this past weekend, not without flight problems of course! He eventually made it up here on the 4th, and left on the morning of the 8th and made it back to Eagar around 11 am on the 9th. No he didnt drive, and the airlines only lost his bag once, thank goodness!

Over the weekend it was very busy, went shopping, had Christmas parties, and more shopping. I did not buy ONE thing! Chris on the other hand he sure loves his Nike Outlet store! Probably the best thing that happend over the weekend happened to be at my work Christmas party. They had a raffle going on throughout the night, two flat screens, numerous gift cards to stores and, when I got picked to come up and pull out my prize.....drumroll please.....2 Club seats for the Seattle Seahawks game on December 21st against the Brett Farve and the Jets. The icing on the cake is that Chris will be in town on that day so I can take him!

Yes Chris missed the OU-Missouri game (I think he likes me!), but was getting constant score updates from his brother, and we were able to watch the game when we got home because we DVR'd it. BOOMER SOONER!

I apologize for not having any pictures posted, it seems that it completely spaced our minds! I will post pictures over Christmas break!

Holidays!

As many of you know, Chris lives in Eagar, AZ right now, and I live in Everett, WA. Last year when I was in Bozeman, we were able to see each other on every major (and some minor!) holidays. This year we got Halloween together, however we wont be having Thanksgivng together, yet he will be coming into town on Dec. 4th for a belated Turkey day! Last year I went to Eagar for Thanksgiving, and Chris came up and spent the whole two weeks of Chrismas/New Years with me in Everett and Bozeman. This year, Chris is still coming up here, however we are making the flight to Oklahoma for a few days around Christmas to be with his family. I am excited to meet his extended family. I have met his Grandparents, and a Great Aunt and Uncle previously and am looking forward to meeting up with them again. We fly out of OK at 6:30 Christmas morning. Maybe Santa will have to take us to the airport! We will have to make the most out of our three days with his family!

I guess this is what making a family is about, blending our families, spending time with both sides and enjoying the time we have with each others families. Most importantly Chris and I get to spend 2 whole weeks with each other!

Happy Thanksgiving Family and Friends

The Ceremony and The Party!

The ceremony will be taking place at Central Lutheran Church in downtown Everett. The reception will be at the Everett Yacht Club on the Everett Marina. We have created a a wedding map at weddingmapper.com. On the upper right hand side of the page it will say "welcome guests". Click on that and then enter either Meagan Loesche or Chris Semore into the boxes. Let us know what you think of it! We hope you find it helpful.

Engagement!

March 23, 2008.
Chris came to Bozeman for his spring break. Our plan was to go to Yellowstone National Park on that Saturday (22nd). However, after him flying all day the day before, movies and the couch sounded great to us. On Sunday morning, after a wonderful breakfast at I-hop, I was tired and thinking about going back to bed to take a nap, yet when I suggested that Chris immediately said "NO, you cant. We are going to Yellowstone". Knowing that Chris doesn't get too worked up about things like this, I figured it was important to him to go, so we got ready and drove about an hour and a half to the parks only year round entrance in Gardiner, MT. There was only one road open during this time of the year, we saw so many buffalo and bison. They would just stand in the middle of the road until you honked your horn for them to move. However, the first time we came to a herd in the road, I was a little nervous to honk my horn...who is going to win a bison that weighs a ton, or a 2000 Honda civic?? I learned quickly though that my little horn was enough to get them moving!

About an hour or so into the park we pulled over at what should have been a viewing area, but was covered in about ten feet of packed snow. I climbed up the snow and had my camera out to take some pictures. Chris got out of the car, and was taking his time coming up the snow. There were some buffalo and foxes, elk and other animal milling around so I took some pictures of them. Eventually Chris came up and hugged me from behind and asked "how does this look?". At first I was a little confused, then I saw down on his finger, was a ring, MY ring! I said it was pretty and he asked me to marry him and Im pretty sure I said yes, the butterflies in my stomach kinda took over for a couple of seconds! He put it on my finger, and it sparkled so much with the winter sun and the snow all around us!

It was a wonderful time, and although I had to wait about 3 more hours for cell phone service, it made it very special for him and me to have that time together.

Within a week we had the date, location, and reception venue all picked out... okay well we picked the date, and I picked the church and the reception place!
