2:00 am

2:00 AM on Tuesday Morning.

Woke up to a very annoying sound. The fire alarm/Smoke detector was going off. I woke Chris up, before I could figure out where it was coming from, Chris had the detector hanging from the wall, the sound still going strong. Went out the front door, realized it was the building. No smoke, no fire. Still very LOUD!

So we slipped on some shoes, sweatshirts, grabbed our keys and phones and walked outside.

Fire Trucks, Ladder Trucks, the whole shebang show up. After about 45 minutes, they let us back inside. Did I mention that my alarm goes off at 3:30am, and its now 2:45? So NOT FAIR!

It was interesting to see what people grabbed. For the most part the men were all in old men cargo shorts, crew socks and tennis shoes/sandals with their polos tucked in. The women in their nighties, slippers, purses strapped around them and holding on to their cats.

Back to Blogging.....

Hey, its been a while....I guess life got in the way!

Quick update since Christmas.

Feb. Went to Alamosa, CO to Jason (Chris'brother) get married to Brittany. Wonderful time Wonderful Wedding. Saw Chris' family who we hadn't seen since our Wedding. Also saw some great friends and had a great time!

April--We received a free nights stay at a hotel in Portland, on the Columbia River, from a great couple! As well as a gift certificate to Buffalo Wild Wings! Yum! We decided to extend the stay by one night so it was a great weekend getaway on a great budget! Thanks to Heather and Scott!

AND the BEST PART of APRIL!!!!

Chris got a few job interviews, interviewed with Boys and Girls Club and got a job as the Athletic Director at a local club!

Memorial Day--MOVED OUT of my parents house!!! Yay!!!
This is our new place....45 bedrooms 30 Fridges and 50 bathrooms. Ok, Ours is a 3bedroom 3 bathroom, corner unit, overlooking the water (yes, Im gloating). Its actually on the opposite side of the building, but this gives you an idea. We were very lucky in finding this place, the rent had been reduced and it fit all our furniture!

The best thing about moving was we got to bring everything out of storage and reopen all our wedding gifts. I had forgotten about a few, I had no idea if we had a toaster or a blender, yes we did! It was great!

And...this picture gives you an idea of the type of people in our building.....

June 12-13th---I went to Spokane for a CEU course, and stayed with my friend Christine, got to visit her new house, their family lake house and enjoyed some sun!

June 20th---1 year! Dinner at Anthony's Woodfire Grill in Everett.

July 4th--Welcomed a new little bundle of joy....our niece Paityn Irene into the world. 7lbs 3 oz. She is adorable and we cant wait to meet her, hopefully soon!

WHEW.....

I promise to be better than posting every 6 months!

Thanksgiving

Yes, it has been awhile! My apologies! For Thanksgiving we headed up to Gold Bar, where my aunt and uncle live. They live across from the river, I think it is the skykomish. Before we ate, Chris, my dad, and my uncle went out to the river and went fishing. Here are some pictures!

And while I did not go Fishing, I did feel the urge to put on Chris' wadders, and Chris had the urge to take a picture of me :)

We are staying in Everett for the holidays. But will see Chris' family in February in Alamosa! We are very excited as Jason is getting married. I am also excitecd to see some friends I have not seen in a very long time! My sister and her boyfriend John are coming to Everett as well. We are very excited to see them and hear of life in Omaha.
We have activities planned for the holidays, and I promise I will do better with pictures and updates!

Honeymoon Pictures

We went to Lincoln City, OR for our Honeymoon. We stayed at a placed called Inn at the Spanish Head, amazing place! It was right on the beach, the tide would come all the way up to our bulkhead around midnight. We had some great Low Tides, that allowed us to see some great fish, shellfish, and other ocean creatures.

Wowzers!

Wow! We have had quite a summer! However, I think we may now have it in control. I probably just jinxed ourselves with that:). I started a new job this last week. It is with a great company called Work-fit, and we have been contracted with Boeing to work with their Industrial Athlete Program. I am basically on the floor, working with the factory workers and helping them do their job better through a variety of ways, job conditioning classes, job site analysis, symptom intervention, and mostly prevention of on the job injuries. So far its been a whirlwind and Im looking forward to settling into it. Chris has had an interview with the YMCA, and it is looking good that he will be able to get a job that is part time there, but most likely will become full time!

The past few months have been very up and down for us, jobs, no jobs, interviews, no interviews. Were living with my parents, and we looked at a condo today that will allow us to move in to in October, after we house sit for some family friends. Pictures are up here click on clients and our password is Semore. Most of them are also up on my facebook so feel free to look around!

We have had fun the last 6 weeks being "unemployed", a family reunion with my mom's side of the family in Leavenworth, WA. Chris has been fishing quite a bit and is becoming pretty good at it! Chris has caught about 10 pink salmons (humpys!). We have smoked them and will be able to enjoy them all year long.

And yes, I caught one as well, and I did gut it myself!
